Abstract

The following passage sheds lights about La agonía de Mariátegui, by Alberto Flores Galindo (1949-1990). In the first place, the text provides an insight about the book and its case of study. In the second place, it addresses three issues that allow an approach to the book history: Mariátegui, the Amauta, in the author’s biography, the French historiographic turn that empowers some crucial elements that support the analysis, the historicization of Latin American Marxism as a path that is incorporated in the next reprinted versions.
