This article gives an account of the state of the art in teacher training in media education in the last decade. In order to give this overview, a corpus of 28 academic papers published between 2005 and 2015 was created. The analysis of these articles shows the main features of the offer and proposals on media education for teachers. Five different approaches of these studies can be identified - digital literacy, skills, needs, beliefs and epistemology – which all underline the importance of training in media education for (future) teachers in order to create a society prepared for the digital era.Downloads
